Krystle Coleman is the Founder & CEO of Midori Star Media Group, PR and Lifestyle Marketing Boutique Agency. At age 27 she has led a hand in International missionary work, in Uganda and Rwanda Africa, headlined top recording artists album campaigns, album release parties, special events, and sphere headed some of the NFL’s leading athletes getting “recognized” beyond the helmet.
She’s your modern day “PR” Power girl so to speak; and not the water downed, generic edition, Coleman is more like the new age action packed PR maven mixed in with over robust confidence, fast talking traditional PR values and ethics.
In 2007, Coleman graduated early with a Bachelors of Science degree in Mass Communications, concentrating in Public Relations, with a minor in Journalism. Coleman left Florida Memorial University having performed highly as an intern at various companies including, Island Def Jam, The Pub Report Magazine and Slip N Slide Records to name a few, all of these internships aided in Coleman gaining a vast amount of hands on experience and invaluable knowledge in a fast paced and rigid industry. Having served as a content provider for “The Pub Report” Magazine, Coleman was able to solidify her mark as freelance journalist at an early age. “ Once I worked behind the scenes of the entertainment industry, I was able to see I can use my love for writing and journalism, to not only create a picture of a “assigned” event, artist or brand”, but I could also be a part of the creative strategic process which started to open up doors for me in the PR world; through conducting interviews with artist, I realized I wanted to dig deeper, and be a part of the bigger picture and the ending result of mass media. I wanted to be the person, planning, publicizing and responsible for bringing “attention” to newsworthy individuals and brands.” States Krystle Coleman
This young entrepreneur has built strong key relationships in the entertainment industry, in less than 5 years, by overseeing publicity for various superstar acts including, Trina, Rick Ross, Plies, Cassidy, Jagged Edge, to name a few. “By honing my skills, as a Music Publicist for over 4years, I was able to build key relationships with top magazines and networks and switch my concentration to sports, and other areas of “PR” once you get the actual “art” of public relations down, the finesse of the business you can go after any avenue of publicity. “ States Coleman
While label publicist at Slip n Slide Records, Coleman’s career and repertoire further expanded as she contributed to the establishment and branding of the record label. She garnered unprecedented media and print coverage of the label’s acts with Cover and Feature Stories in the nation’s largest print and online publications. Having accomplished such victories at the mere age of 23, Coleman decided to broaden her horizons through working on a string of independent and freelance projects, contributing to the birth of “Midori Star Media Group” in the spring of 2009.
When asked how she describes her inner persona and overall character, this young, dynamic entrepreneur describes herself, as the “red lipstick that anyone could wear.” She says she considers herself to be “extremely blessed” to be able to get up every day and do something she loves. Coleman’s recent successes include the expansion of Midori Star Media Group, launching a blouse line “Diary” and paneling on college advisory boards, telling the truths, of the misconception of the “PR” industry. “I am starting to feel my creative juices flowing more, the older I am getting, I am not afraid to totally embrace my client, and give them my all, I am ready for whatever is thrown at me, and grateful.” Krystle Coleman
Krystle’s expertise in the business has opened doors for NFL players, in the arenas of television, lifestyle brands, and much more. “Krystle is such a pleasure to work with. Her experience in both music and the sports industry knows no bounds allowing her to catapult her clients brand to the next level using her public relation skills.” Vontae Davis, Indianapolis Colts.
With consistent dedication and perseverance, not only in her career, but every aspect of her life,
Krystle Coleman strives to be an everlasting exemplar for persons around the world. Coleman is well on her way to capturing her future endeavor of becoming one of the most revered public relations specialist in the business. “ I just love the art of public relations, I love the speedy results, I love how the art is nurtured, I am always learning something new, and in total awe of this culture, and I just want my agency to represent honesty and results, I don’t want to make my clients feel like a number, rather a brother or sister, someone who cares for them and understand that if “they” win, that I benefit.”
“There’s nothing more beautiful and challenging then PR, it simply rules the world.”
